Spangdahlem AFB (or just "Spang") is home to the 480th Fighter Squadron (480th FS), nicknamed the "Warhawks". It is the only United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa flying unit performing the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) mission, flying the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
